Mission Statement

It is the mission of Social CPR to use a combination of social media technology and biblical principles to help individuals, businesses and non-profits grow real, and mutually beneficial  relationships with their customers and community.

Brodie Brown is the owner, speaker and consultant for Social CPR.  Brodie uses his experience as a police officer, police chaplain, Stephen minister and trainer, as well as 9 years in sales, including also owning Browntree Home Inspections to train small businesses, real estate professionals, entrepreneurs and ‘Not for Profits’ to expand their network and build real relationships using the wide array of social media sites and tools that are available in today’s world.  Growing up in a small Indiana farm community taught Brodie the importance of a strong community and he now brings that experience to the classroom to help people that may not be tech savvy to understand that  they already have the skills necessary to excel in the world of social media.

When the housing market started to crash in late 2007 I owned a home inspection business and I had two options. I could close the business or I could find a way to make it work that wouldn’t cost me anything but time. Social media was the answer. I used my communication and people skills I learned as a teacher, police officer, police chaplain, Stephen Minister and salesperson to make the most out of the social media tools that were available. I’m happy to say that my home inspection company survived the down market and thrived.

I do not teach some type of system that you can fit customers into to make them buy. What I teach is based on building real relationships using social media, blogging and person to person meetings. People are all different and don’t fit into boxes or systems. I believe that if you work the basics of caring about and communicating with people, the personal and business success will take care of itself.

No matter what business you’re in, it’s a people business.
